5mm closed cell polyethylene foam sandwiched between pure aluminum on both sides.Heating and cooling costs are about 60% of the average American Household energy bill. The most effective way to cut these cost is to lower the amount of heat transferred into the home in the summer an out of the home in the winter. Our Radiant Barrier/Reflective Insulation SmartSHIELD is made from double-sided 99% aluminum foil, with closed-cell polyethylene foam. It provides optimal protection by reflecting up to 97% of radiant energy, in addition to resisting conductive and convective heat transfers. Our Radiant Barrier/Reflective Insulation SmartSHIELD is nontoxic and non-carcinogenic and works ideal for hot and cold climates.

The reflective insulation is well made and the mylar silver laminate is quite thick and strong. My back country skiing class uses 6' sections for reflective sleeping pads in addition to their summer pads. The are quite tuff.
Used this product to insulate a shed.
was offered $3 for a review even though the item has only been in my hands 1 week and still sitting in garage.. waiting for the snow to leave so i can get out there and install to pickup camper.. "appears" to be able to do the job.. looks sturdy.. there where no install instructions to be had.. will post a update when i have time to install.. yes i hate reviews that are no help also..but for $3 i will come up with something to say.. APPEARS TO BE A GOOD PRODUCT..
